Candy Lad

I recently found the perfect Valentine candy for my boyfriend.  He eats candy like I eat cookies from the pastry case.  ;)  They're like sweet tarts but better and they fizz a little.  The little heart message read "candy lad".  I got so excited because it reminded me of him!  (Wish I could find you a visual.)  Regardless I have saved this little candy since Christmas!  (It was a little stocking stuffer from the English Market, I imagine, since Lib hid in the stocking with other English things like extra buttery shortbread cookies)  ....
Yesterday, I looked at the little candy & with complete disbelief and blinking eyes, it read:  Candy Lane
Grrr.  But just now, I found these sweet online cards from NPR.  I'll print this one out for him and have a little chuckle.

Lately I've needed a little inspiration & I can't help that so much of the little things that make life happy -from photography to glass jars- tends to all show up at once on wedding blogs.  ;)

I'm thinking a menu painted on wooden boxes and a ceiling full of paper cranes could really create sweetness.  God, Spring can not come quickly enough!

Insulated Carafes

All I need is a simple small insulated carafe to hold the creamer on the to-go station  and keep it cold.  I've looked everywhere!  They all look like this:

ugh!  I want something cute and fat and that doesn't cost 30 bucks.

This is gorgeous but will only get stained and costs $130

I think the wind was blowing when they made this.

I actually like this one.

uh...reminds me of disney character.

Oh my god, I love this one!!  only $170 (grrr)

It's been a while!

What a roller coaster of a 4 weeks.  Yep, 4 weeks we've been open and it's flown by!  We are doing great. Working out kinks, plowing through complete road blocks in the vision, and loving working as a team making coffee, tea, and food.
